Job Title: Software Developer (C# / Database / API) — Contract
Location: Remote – Candidates in the Eastern Time Zone will be considered.
Pay Rate: $70 per hour (W2 only)
Duration: 5-month contract (40 hours per week, exempt from overtime, possibility of extension)
Introduction
We are seeking a Software Developer with strong expertise in C#, API development, and database solutions to support modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to deliver scalable applications, integrate multiple technologies, and ensure efficiency, security, and maintainability. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently while also providing technical leadership within a team environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Strong hands-on experience with C# (primary skill)
Proficiency with T-SQL and/or PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Azure DevOps tools and workflows
Experience with SSIS
Demonstrated expertise in REST API development
Ability to design and deliver scalable, high-performance applications
Strong integration skills across multiple technologies
Focus on building secure, efficient, and maintainable solutions
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS)
Professional experience with Python
Agile/Scrum development experience
Background in the medical or dental insurance domain
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement modern REST APIs and database solutions using C#, T-SQL, and PostgreSQL
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and integration testing
Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the development team and across other groups
Ensure applications adhere to technical standards, best practices, and security guidelines
Participate in defining project deliverables, resources, and schedules
Troubleshoot complex technical issues in collaboration with internal teams and third-party vendors
Contribute to the adoption of best practices, emerging technologies, and industry standards
