Assistant Director of Nursing

Hopewell Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center , you will assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing all nursing operations within the facility. You will provide clinical leadership, support the nursing staff, and ensure that care plans are implemented in compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to all residents. Support the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures to comply with regulatory standards. Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring effective team performance and fostering a positive work environment. Assist in creating, reviewing, and updating individualized care plans for residents, ensuring that care plans are accurate, complete, and reflective of resident needs. Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing ongoing feedback, support, and coaching to ensure continuous improvement. Assist in staffing decisions, including managing schedules, coordinating shift coverage, and addressing staffing needs. Monitor the quality of care provided by nursing staff, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, medication administration procedures, and resident safety standards. Serve as a resource for nursing staff, answering clinical questions, resolving issues, and providing ongoing education and training. Assist with the coordination of resident care, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care delivery. Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing medication management, ensuring proper documentation and safe administration. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, collecting data, tracking outcomes, and implementing corrective actions to enhance the quality of care. Ensure the nursing department operates in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including those related to staffing ratios, safety, and resident care standards. Assist with regulatory surveys, audits, and inspections, addressing any areas of concern as directed by the Director of Nursing. Act as the Director of Nursing in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and care. Foster a resident-centered approach to care and advocate for the needs and preferences of residents.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of
Ohio . Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and quality care standards. Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising and developing nursing staff. Excellent clinical assessment and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and physicians. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
