Insight Global is looking for a Remote Codes and Compliance Engineer. This person will be responsible for creating test plans, technical documentations, and interpreting safety and performance standards specifically relating to fire codes for the doors industry. This person will be traveling 25% of the time in order to conducts and administer fire testing across North America. He/she must be strong in testing and certification of building materials. This person will be supporting the product developments groups to advance the development of prototypes for future innovation initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Resistance, Fire protection, Fire Safety, or Materials Science At least 4 years of relevant work experience in product design, testing and certification, and inspection Fire experience relating to fire resistance/fire protection/fire safety or fenestration industry (swinging doors, sliding doors, windows). Ideal experience includes testing and certification of Fire Doors Strong knowledge of UL10B/UL10C, NPFA252 and/or NFPA80 Experience w. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) & understanding of materials failure. Experience working with 3rd Party Certification Agencies
