Henrico County CASA, Inc.
Child Advocate: Be the One to Make a Difference!
Henrico County CASA, Inc., Richmond Heights, Virginia, United States
Henrico CASA promotes safe, healthy homes for every child in Henrico County, especially those vulnerable from abuse and neglect. Our volunteer advocates are a safe and consistent presence in a child’s life, while also serving as their voice in court.
Together, we change a child’s story. Court Appointed Special Advocates, aka CASAs, are skilled volunteers who are trained by Henrico CASA to help vulnerable children. These volunteer advocates are appointed by judges to speak up for the best interests of children experiencing possible abuse and/or neglect. CASAs build a relationship with the child and gather observations that are vital to the court process. Volunteer advocates: LEARN about the child and their life ENGAGE during regular visits COLLABORATE with professionals RECOMMEND supports and services SHARE observations with the court Without an advocate, hundreds of local children experiencing abuse and neglect will not have a strong voice in their corner. Will you join us in our mission to ensure every child has a voice? Learn more at henricocasa.org/volunteers or e-mail Kristin Blalock at bla090@henrico.us.
