Overview
The Senior Manager, IT Enterprise Operations, will be part of an industry leading IT team working in a fast-paced environment at PDS. The Senior Manager, IT Enterprise Operations, is a critical member of the Run/Maintain operations for Core Infrastructure. He/she is the point of escalation and is responsible for the timely resolution of issues affecting overall health of the operating systems and deployed applications in a distributed enterprise environment. In addition, he/she will be responsible for people management of direct reports.

Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of system and network engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Plan, execute, and oversee infrastructure projects and tasks from conception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Establish practices, policies and operating procedures and ensure alignment to departmental objectives and strategy across all service tiers. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to design scalable and reliable systems. Provide technical leadership and expertise in areas such as networking, system engineering, datacenter, and cloud technologies. Accountable for clear understanding of mission and goals for entire team. Provides clear direction to achieve goals, creating an environment that fosters team commitment and employee engagement. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed recommendations. Identify potential risks to the infrastructure and develop strategies to proactively mitigate them. Implement and enforce security best practices and measures to safeguard the organization's data and systems. Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure projects and ongoing maintenance. Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Work closely with other departments, such as development, operations, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components. Implement tools and processes for monitoring infrastructure performance. Identify areas for improvement and optimization to enhance overall system efficiency. Work with team members and other internal teams to resolve IT infrastructure issues. Perform technical review and approval of change management and documentation. Ensure that processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides are documented continuously. Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policy. Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriately. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent education and applicable work experience. 10+ years of proven experience in infrastructure management, including hands-on technical expertise. Strong leadership and team management skills. Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously. In-depth knowledge of networking, server administration, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work after hours as needed. Preferred
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Aruba, Juniper, VMWare, Microsoft). Experience with ITIL 4.0 practices Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Skilled in determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes. Ability to create, analyze and interpret performance reports, metrics, or SLAs and recommend courses of action. Ability to monitor systems for anomalies that require investigation and resolution. Advanced knowledge of networking pertaining to large enterprise LAN\WAN environments to include Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, Cloudflare WAF, Datacenter, Campus, and Edge Switching, Cloud connectivity, and NAC. Advanced knowledge of backup and recovery systems using a variety of virtual and native backup applications. Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and vROPs. Understanding of hardware and services associated with hosted solutions like HPE GreenLake. Experience with SAN and NAS technologies (iSCSI, CIFS, NFS, etc.). Experience with Nutanix Acropolis. Basic knowledge of Linux commands, SSH, and SCP. Experience with VDI technologies like Citrix or Parallels. Experience with HPE Aruba Switching, Aruba Central, ClearPass, and APs.
