Description Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and create customized treatment plans Implement physical therapy techniques focused on mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities Work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes Educate patients and families on therapeutic objectives, discharge strategies, and home exercise regimens Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient progress per facility protocols and regulations Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated patient care Education
Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree accredited by a recognized institution Certifications
State licensure as a
Physical Therapist CPR certification is preferred Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory Skills
Previous experience in the field is highly preferred Aptitude for treating patients with complex medical histories and mobility challenges Effective communication and teamwork abilities Comfortable with digital documentation and clinical systems Benefits
