Job Title: Data Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to design and implement data structures from ingestion to visualization utilizing advanced tools such as dbt and Tableau. The successful candidate will work on creating a maintainable, reliable, and efficient data platform while ensuring data warehouse modeling and development best practices are adhered to.

Responsibilities

Architect and code data structures from ingestion to visualization using dbt and Tableau.

Implement best practices to ensure the maintainability, reliability, and efficiency of the data platform.

Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development.

Exercise optimal data modeling practices for nonuniform data sets.

Establish best practices for source code control using Github.

Design and maintain data security access.

Optimize the stack using HTML and Javascript code to generate views for visualization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to stakeholders.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data developers.

Essential Skills

BS in Computer Science, with emphasis in Data Engineering preferred.

10-12 years of experience in Data Engineering Development and visualization.

8-10 years of Data Warehouse experience, with specific experience in DWH preferred.

8-10 years of SQL experience.

4-6 years of experience with dbt Cloud; semantic layer experience is a plus.

3-5 years of experience with Github and CI/CD tools for modern data stacks.

3-5 years of experience building Tableau Data Sources and dashboards.

2+ years of Python development.

Experience with HTML and Javascript related to Looker is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, and Jira.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position, fully remote - must be willing to work in PST

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
