The

Maintenance & Custodial Technician

is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the property while performing general maintenance tasks. This role involves both custodial duties and basic maintenance, contributing to a safe, well-maintained, and clean environment for residents and staff. This position does not include on-call duties.

Location:

Oxford & The Essex Apartments, Stoughton, MA.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm (24 Hours, part-time, flexible on days)

Eligible for a $1,500.00 sign-on bonus!

Custodial Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning of property, including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining cleanliness in public areas such as hallways, stairwells, and elevators. Clean building windows, laundry rooms, and other common areas as directed by the supervisor. Assist with snow removal duties, including shoveling, sanding, salting, and plowing to maintain safe access to the property. Replace light bulbs, clean fixtures, and maintain proper function of time clocks. Strip, wash, and seal floors when requested. Assist with emergency flood situations as needed. Follow company safety policies, wearing appropriate uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), including OSHA-approved steel-toe shoes. Maintenance Responsibilities:

Execute daily maintenance tasks, such as replacing or repairing apartment appliances, light fixtures, outlets, and other electrical or mechanical components. Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and vanities, and address other interior issues like doors, locks, tile replacement, and handrails. Perform basic carpentry tasks such as touch-up painting, changing screens, and replacing broken glass. Maintain the building's roof, including lubricating turbines, maintaining gutters, and making emergency repairs. Monitor and assist outside contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance tasks. Assist with furniture and appliance moves as needed. Handle truck deliveries, ensuring items are moved and stored appropriately. Follow property safety techniques and protocols, and report hazardous conditions promptly. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 6 months of experience in trade work or general building maintenance. Basic knowledge of custodial equipment, chemicals, and safety practices. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
