Job Summary
The Nursing Services Manager is essential in overseeing nursing staff and daily operations to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. This dynamic role involves coordinating clinical and administrative functions, crafting and implementing nursing policies, and nurturing staff development to drive optimal patient outcomes. The Manager ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, fosters a positive work environment, and bolsters organizational objectives through outstanding leadership and teamwork.
Essential Functions
Oversee daily nursing services operations, guaranteeing patient care is delivered according to established standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Collaborate proactively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and tackle clinical and operational challenges.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of patient care, identifying and addressing issues promptly to uphold high standards.
Conduct staff training, orientation, and performance evaluations, encouraging professional growth and development.
Manage departmental budgets and resources, ensuring efficient operations aligned with organizational goals.
Exhibit responsible decision-making in planning, providing, and delegating care based on patient assessments and team capabilities.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately among healthcare team members, ensuring accountability and competence.
Create and sustain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
2-4 years of clinical nursing experience required.
1-2 years in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing care practices and operations.
Effective leadership and management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.
Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, patients, and interdisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation requirements pertinent to nursing services.

Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required.
BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
