ID1 High Volume Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for improving process quality, working on yield and efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and resolving line issues in their assigned area to achieve area KPIs and optimize manufacturing wafer outs. They partner with equipment team members, leaders within the area, shift operations leaders, and periphery stakeholders to ensure critical area priorities are understood and executed on: Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations Ensures proper tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist and submits updates to content Leads in expertise of executing area operations to ensure throughput needs are accomplished Resolves or escalates issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss in an urgent manner Applies SPC, FDC, and 8D methodology to process optimization, testing, creating, and modifying process related procedures, and disposition of lots to increase the tool availability and turns through systematic problem solving Monitors, analyzes, and addresses SPC issues for area processes daily and partners with Process Owners to resolve chronic SPC failures in the area Analyzes data using various application and engineering knowledge to make critical process decisions Perform project work to optimize wafer processing and increase area wafer outs Updates or helps create procedures to align with area and global practices to support training and daily execution Ensures assessor checklists and other documents are kept up to date Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics. However, other engineering or related fields may be considered Must be a current student, and must not graduate before September 2026 In-depth understanding and working knowledge of SPC and Design of Experiments Proficient in one or more scripting, programming and visualization tools: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, Microsoft Suite Preferred qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing Hands-on experience in the field of data analytics, preferably with experience querying databases Intermediate understanding of the Fab process areas and including area processing equipment and supporting systems Strong time management, organization, prioritization and communication skills Micron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
