Senior

Environmental Engineer

for our

Parsippany, NJ

office. This senior professional will perform various environmental tasks in support of remediation projects, including developing long-term remedial solutions and strategies to reduce environmental risk. Projects are mainly located in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania; the role also supports other Dewberry offices in the U.S. Responsibilities include site/remedial investigation, remedial project design, and implementation of remedial actions according to regulatory agency and/or company directives. The

Senior Environmental Engineer

must be flexible, client-focused, and capable of working independently while supporting a team of engineers, scientists, and field personnel. The work involves a range of activities from coordinating field inspections and soil/groundwater sampling to technical tasks requiring strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat. Current OSHA 40-hour certification and/or other relevant certifications are preferred. A New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license is required. Develop strategic direction for remediation and environmental projects or litigation support in collaboration with staff and management. Negotiate with regulatory agencies and manage compliance with applicable orders, directives, and permits. Assign tasks to engineers, scientists, technicians, or administrative staff. Interact with clients in the field, at meetings, and via conference calls. Plan and coordinate all aspects of work. Prepare and manage scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Lead and assist with proposals. Manage budgets and ensure project, client, and regulatory deadlines are met. Perform other duties as required. Required Skills & Experience

BSc in Civil/Environmental Engineering Minimum 15 years of relevant experience PE license is mandatory New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) OSHA 40-hour certification with current 8-hour annual refresher Knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP, and PADEP regulations is advantageous Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in technical report writing and handling multiple projects Field sampling and contractor oversight experience in NJ, NY, and PA Proficiency in MS Office suite Valid driver's license with a clean record is required If you dont meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway.
