Project Solutions Lead
with our client, a leading mining company. This contract position will be on a hybrid schedule: work from home 50% of the time and travel to the New Orleans office 50% of the time. Travel accommodation, hotels, and transportation are included. Responsibilities
Plan and implement digital products and software applications end-to-end for large capital projects (discovery, backlog, UX, build/config, testing, release, support) aligned to portfolio priorities and measurable outcomes. Partner with IT and Data Engineering teams to execute data warehouse, ETL architecture, system integration, application migrations, and legacy modernization initiatives (including defining data standards, validation, and process documentation). Collaborate with functional and project stakeholders to capture requirements, review solution designs and BI views, and lead change management activities to drive adoption (e.g., coordinate rollouts, user training, communications). Establish quality assurance frameworks, governance, and standards to ensure the dependability and usability of deployed solutions (including incident/problem management and deploying enhancements). Implement interactive, scalable BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, and other tools to deliver actionable insights that support project execution. Identify opportunities for automation, AI-driven enhancements, and BI practice optimization in capital project delivery, including pilots and measuring impact such as reductions in cycle time and manual effort. Level of interaction: Collaborates with managers, functional or site leaders, and external colleagues; interacts with contractors representatives and other external agents. Autonomy/decision making: Performs with a high level of independence in delivering quality work. Budgetary responsibility: None Managerial responsibility: Executes cross-functional digital and analytics initiatives and may oversee a team of developers and data engineers. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, data analytics, engineering, business, supply chain or related field AND 5+ years of experience in analytics, BI, and digital/process improvement, or related experience with a focus on engineering or EPC projects, or Project Design Office. Masters Degree in Analytics or related field AND 3+ years of experience in analytics, BI, and digital/process improvement, or related experience. Familiarity with programming languages (SQL, DAX, M language, etc.). Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex challenges into actionable plans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to non-technical audiences. Experience in Mining, Energy, Engineering & Construction, or related industries. Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, and M language; familiarity with additional analytics programming languages (Python, R, etc.). Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Snowflake) and business applications (Oracle, Ariba, SAP/S4). Supply Chain background with experience in Demand Planning and Materials Management. Experience with AI/ML-driven analytics and automation tools. Knowledge of agile development methodologies and project management best practices. Firsthand experience with data migration or application migration (e.g., SAP/S4) or legacy modernization projects. Offer
