Wellness Program Specialist

The Wellness Program Specialist plays a critical role in developing health promotion campaigns, engages employees through education and monitors program effectiveness. This role serves as a subject matter expert and ensures wellness initiatives align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting health and wellness in the workplace, have excellent communication and customer service skills and be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related experience. Certification in health promotion or wellness program administration a plus (e.g., CHES, CWP, CCWS). Experience: Minimum five (5) years in wellness program coordination or health promotion. Travel: Up to 25% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role. Key Responsibilities Advocate for employee wellness within the organization, promoting a culture of health and well-being. Provides customer service to all team members regarding company wellness program. Plan, develop, and coordinate wellness challenges, campaigns, and organization-wide events. Assist with development and implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy to promote wellness programs, initiatives and resources across the organization. Manage the Wellness Program Communications Calendar to align messages with wellness campaigns, organizational priorities and national health observances. Manage and attend various onsite events such as biometric screenings, blood drives, chair massages, therapy dog visits, etc. Gather and share employee success stories, testimonials and spotlights to build program credibility and relatability. Lead wellness champion and peer champion networks across the organization. Conduct wellness outreach discussions with new hires. Develop promotional and educational wellness materials. Create and post regular content for awareness and engagement. Establish relationships with internal departments to increase participation. Analyze program data and identify trends to recommend targeted initiatives. Travel to various FTI locations to attend Training Week and the Team Member Appreciation Events. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and adjust as needed. Assist with the completion of various wellness award applications. Actively participates in professional and community organizations relating to health and wellness, including various health and wellness conferences. Coordinate with external vendors. Support safety and mental health campaigns, ensuring alignment with company safety culture. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices and new health and wellness initiatives. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
