Position Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Human Resources Director, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with department leaders (e.g., Warehouse, Transportation, Corporate) to assure the smooth and efficient delivery of HR processes, policies and services. Duties include coaching leaders, anticipating needs in organization design, performance management, employee relations, hiring, on-boarding, communication, and training. Responsibilities
Conducts HRBP 1:1s with supervisors and managers, acting as trusted partner, confidant, and coach. Responds to employee relations issues for supervisors and managers. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for existing and open positions, aligning job descriptions. Partner with leaders to understand workforce plans and then collaborate with Talent Acquisition to facilitate job posting, screening, interview coordination, background checks and on-boarding; assists with hiring of qualified applicants for open positions. Administers and delivers human resource programs including benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition and morale, safety, and training development. Facilitates and/or supports the delivery of training (e.g., compliance, manager, compensation). Composes and distributes written communication to employees on topics such as benefits, policy updates, COVID protocols. Facilitates employee engagement and team-building activities. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refers complex matters to appropriate staff. Develops plans for new hire orientation. Oversees and answers questions about Paid Time Off and runs related reports. Attends disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed. Ensures HRIS data reflects accurate state of the company and employees. Raises complex or sensitive matters to appropriate staff; supports onboarding for acquisitions and standardizes onboarding and communication. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies to maintain compliance; stays current with HR trends and regulatory changes. Performs other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director. Experience
Proven experience in HR. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate. Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and payroll/benefits administration. Experience with Open Enrollment and benefits administration. Ability to quickly learn organizations HRIS and talent management systems. Requirements & Skills
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience. Four years of professional HR administration experience, including two years in employee relations (or equivalent through training/education). SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Spanish fluency is required due to front-line support and collaboration with Spanish-speaking team members. Experience in manufacturing/distribution industries preferred.
