Capital Markets Real Estate Operations Analyst - Middle Office
At Regions, the Capital Markets Real Estate Operations Analyst - Middle Office supports the operational functions associated with the bank's Real Estate Capital Markets business. The business includes originating, underwriting, and servicing loans that are either traded or are securitized by government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) programs, such as Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The operations group supporting this business is responsible for valuing the Mortgage Servicing Rights ("MSR"), whole loan trading portfolios, as well as providing accounting, reconciliation, reporting, collateral management, and escrow administration. Primary Responsibilities Supports the Middle Office function for the Real Estate Capital Markets businesses Performs complex reporting, remitting and reconciling activities related to funding and delivery of loans, securitization of mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and monthly servicing activities Creates reporting from the loan servicing system for data validation and valuation Adheres to internal controls and industry/regulatory standards Executes individual loan calculations and ensures proper accounting associated with each deal Supports review and analysis of settlements statements and report adjustments Updates, maintains, and distributes loan pipeline reporting for new loans Provides new loan pricing and valuations and ensures proper accounting is assigned Ensures loan cash flows are properly set up in valuation systems considering prepayment structures and loan default parameters Calculates mark-to-market valuation and provides Profit/Loss (PnL) and risk reporting for whole loans and MSRs Supports internal audit and external regulatory reporting for the MSR whole loan trading valuations Verifies accuracy of pricing data used for daily valuations, interest rate, and credit hedges This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Five (5) years of experience working with Real Estate Lending Products Significant financial analysis experience Experience in database querying Preferences Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or intent to pursue Experience working with real estate securities Skills and Competencies Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.) Experience with loan modeling platforms (e.g., MIAC, QRM, Aladdin, PolyPaths, Compass) Knowledge and experience with fixed income valuation and analytics Proven history of strong analytical skills, especially with Prepayment modeling Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job. Job Range Target: Minimum: $77,969.65 USD Median: $102,850.00 USD This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan.
