The Role: Must be semi-proficient in mechanical work, machinery set-up, rigging, metal burning, welding, rough carpentry, masonry, piping, etc. Must have knowledge in the basic operation of boilers and a basic understanding of hydraulics, and compressed air systems. How Youll Make an Impact: This position has significant environmental aspects/impacts associated with it: Hazardous Waste. Must understand and accept the fact that although this is basically a 40 hour-per-week position, overtime, weekend work, call-ins, and work on some holidays is required in order to meet company needs. Report for work on time and cooperate with others while on the job. Perform work in a safe manner in compliance with all OSHA standards. Maintain a clean work area. All company tools and equipment must be used properly and returned to their proper storage when not in use. Employees in this position may be required to enter confined spaces. Confined Spaces Entry training is required every three years. Maintain facilities, processes, production equipment, and tooling to meet the needs of the business. Produce products and services that meet defined and anticipated customer expectations. Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety procedures. Has the responsibility of understanding and carrying out assigned duties in conformance with customer and business requirements. Ensures that problems, errors and/or defects that surface in regard to products, documentation, procedures, or materials are promptly brought to attention for correction. Provides support and input for continual improvement projects, preventative and corrective actions. Has the responsibility to halt or change a process if it is not achieving planned results. What Do You Bring: High School/Trade School Diploma required with 3 years of minimum experience. Must be able to deal with fractions and decimals, work with both English and Metric measurement systems, and must have knowledge and experience in multiple crafts such as those listed. Must be experienced in working with hand tools, some welding equipment, cutting torch, fork lift, chain hoist, slings, jacks, etc. Must be able to provide own hand tools. Welding equipment and torches will be provided by the company along with a wide assortment of hand tools pertaining to WEIDMANNs needs. Must be able to meet all physical requirements in accordance with the Essential Function Job Analysis. What Do We Offer?
