Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing for web, mobile, and enterprise systems.
Ensure compliance with
WCAG 2.1
and related accessibility standards.
Use assistive technologies such as
JAWS, NVDA, Dragon, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText, and Fusion
to identify barriers.
Audit existing and legacy systems, documenting accessibility gaps with remediation recommendations.
Partner with product owners, designers, and developers to embed accessibility throughout development.
Provide accessibility support in responsive design, case management systems, and data collection tools.
Maintain testing methodologies, best practice guidelines, and documentation.
Manage multiple projects while balancing scope, deadlines, and quality expectations.
Required Qualifications for Senior Digital Accessibility Tester Role
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on accessibility testing
experience with WCAG and assistive technologies.
2+ years on digital product teams
with exposure to accessibility practices.
Strong knowledge of
HTML, ARIA, semantic markup, and responsive design principles .
Proven ability to audit systems and recommend solutions.
Experience testing internal systems such as
case management and business process tools .
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience mentoring or coaching peers on accessibility standards.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Familiarity with
accessibility testing tools
like Axe, WebAIM, SiteImprove, and Sitebulb.
Proficiency with browser DevTools and extensions (WAVE, ARC Toolkit, Axe).
Strong project management skills with Agile methodology exposure.
