Orion Gn&c Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Orion Gn&c Engineer to join the team with GeoControl Systems, a teammate company. ** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. ** The Orion Gn&c Engineer will: Develop and evaluate safety-critical, human rated gn&c flight software Develop, integrate, and test new gn&c algorithms Develop, integrate, and test new algorithms for evaluation of vehicle and mission performance Develop, integrate, and test new algorithms for trajectory optimizations Provide recommendations for improvements in design and software development processes Perform other duties as required Requirements: Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. Experience with Kalman filters Experience with development of modeling spacecraft systems performance Experience with development and analysis of 6 dof algorithms and simulations Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment consisting of NASA civil servants and various contractor employees Benefits: GCS health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
