Overview

Mutual of Omaha is seeking a skilled IT Manager to lead our enterprise data architecture and governance efforts as we launch our updated enterprise data and analytics strategy. Youll oversee a collaborative team, drive data quality and compliance, and ensure our data architecture supports long-term business success. What we can offer you Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $165,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match. What youll do

Lead, mentor, and manage the IS team to deliver high-quality IT services, while continuously monitoring and improving team and system performance. Develop IT strategies aligned with business goals and manage the IS budget to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Oversee IT projects from planning to execution and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions. Ensure IT architecture and enterprise data practices meet security standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise data architecture that supports business needs and analytics. Establish and lead data governance frameworks, policies, and committees to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance. Partner with business units to understand data needs and promote a culture of data stewardship through training and support.

What youll bring

Minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems management or technology leadership, with at least 2 years of demonstrated success implementing and driving measurable adoption of data architecture and/or governance practices. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred. Deep expertise in data architecture, including data modeling, database design, and data warehousing. Proficiency with data governance frameworks, tools, and a strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations. Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to guide teams and deliver results. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure data quality, integrity, and issue resolution. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning. You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do. Ability to work at our home office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment.

Certified Data Management Professional CDMP (DAMA), Certified Information Privacy Professional CIPP/US (IAPP), Certified Information Privacy Technologist CIPT (IAPP), ISO 38505.
