SAP Technical Lead (ABAP)

Position Summary: The SAP Technical Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the design, development, implementation, and support of SAP systems align with business goals and operational requirements -- with a focus on ABAP programming expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Technical Leadership: Solution Design:
Lead the technical design and architecture of SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes, technical standards, and best practices. Development:
Oversee SAP development activities, including customization, enhancement, and integration of SAP modules and components. Technical Guidance:
Provide guidance and support to SAP developers and technical teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and quality assurance. Configuration and Customization:
Configure SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) based on business requirements, ensuring smooth integration and functionality. Testing and Validation:
Conduct system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate SAP solutions and ensure reliability and performance. Maintenance and Support: Incident Resolution:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP systems, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations. Upgrades and Enhancements:
Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring system stability and compliance with SAP's support and maintenance policies. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Business Alignment:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver SAP solutions that meet business objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with functional teams (e.g., Finance, HR, Supply Chain) and IT teams to integrate SAP solutions with existing systems and business processes. Change Management:
Manage change requests and ensure changes to SAP systems are properly documented, tested, and implemented with minimal disruption to business operations. Requirements
8+ years of technical SAP experience 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in SAP Strong hands-on experience in ABAP programming SAP integration expertise (PI/PO)
Nice to have:
Fiori and UI5 experience, designing and developing modern user interfaces for SAP applications S/4HANA implementation experience
