Systems Administrator, Microsoft O365 Employment Type:
Full-Time with CLIENT Work Arrangement:
Onsite Purpose of the Position The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the IST team, staff, and vendors in assisting with the company-wide migration and implementation of the Microsoft 365 platform. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for Microsoft 365 administration, including supporting technical teams, training, and ongoing maintenance. You will serve as the subject-matter specialist for the Microsoft 365 platform. Responsibilities
Maintain operational health of the Microsoft 365 environment, including security, availability, maintenance, performance, interoperability, and reliability. Administer, support, and configure Microsoft 365 for new and existing users. Maintain SharePoint sites, sub-sites, lists, libraries, workflows, permissions, and access. Assist with administration and support of Microsoft Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Entra, and related infrastructure. Troubleshoot Microsoft 365-related issues, including connectivity and mobility. Participate throughout the lifecycle of Azure/Microsoft 365 key projects. Support and resolve user deployment issues. Stay current on Microsoft 365 tools, roadmap updates, and their impact on the business. Interact daily with IST team members to share issue resolution knowledge and adoption best practices. Conduct routine monitoring and analysis of Microsoft 365 platforms. Train and educate end users on O365 capabilities and collaboration tools (OneDrive, Teams, OneNote, Outlook). Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base materials for Microsoft 365 processes. Develop and maintain technology roadmaps to ensure solutions remain secure, high-performing, and reliable. Produce dashboard reports and management information, including license/resource consumption and user adoption metrics. Handle escalated helpdesk support tickets, including hands-on interventions. Respond to user requests accurately and within IST-designated SLAs. Collaborate with other IST analysts for support request resolution and project assignments.
Qualifications
Education/ Certifications Associates degree or certification in technology support preferred, OR a minimum of six years of related work experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Experience Experience managing 20+ Windows Servers within an infrastructure. Proven experience with server and application deployments/rollouts. Hands-on experience with helpdesk services: user support operations, training material development, training delivery, systems analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution. Strong background in supporting desktop computing environments: Microsoft products, Windows, Office 365, and Active Directory. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server. Deep knowledge of O365 technologies required. Enterprise-level experience supporting Microsoft 365 as part of an IT team. Experience in Microsoft 365 migration activities. Proven success in implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 and collaboration technologies. Experience with OneDrive, Teams, OneNote, and related platforms. Familiarity with O365 management tools: Intune, Azure, AAD, and other management portals. Administration experience with O365, Exchange, Azure Active Directory, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint environments.
