Nutrition Services Assistant-Patient Services
Greets patients in a professional and friendly manner. Delivers meal trays directly to patient areas as specified. Assists patients with meal tray setup. Performs customer service and service recovery skills. Picks up trays from patient areas at designated times. Tends and loads dishwashers, delivers clean dishes and utensils to proper kitchen areas, and may pre-wash certain items by hand. Sweeps and mops floors, disposes of trash, and performs other cleaning duties as assigned. Assists in preparing items such as salads, desserts, or nourishment and assembles prepared food on trays for patients, including regular and modified diets. Maintains tray line in a clean, neat, and orderly manner. May call patients for meal orders and perform office-related duties such as entering patient meals, snacks, supplements, and generating reports. May deliver meals to outer buildings on campus using a company vehicle. What You'll Do: Greet patients and provide friendly, professional service Deliver and set up meal trays in patient areas, following proper procedures Pick up trays and transport clean dishes, utensils, and equipment Load, operate, and tend dishwashers; pre-wash items as needed Prepare and assemble food items, including salads, desserts, and patient-specific diets Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary tray line and work areas Follow food safety standards, label and store items properly, and adhere to diet restrictions/allergens Assist with administrative tasks, including entering meal orders and generating reports Follow proper procedures when transporting meals across campus What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Previous food service, customer service, or administrative experience a plus Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and adapt to a changing workload Dependable with consistent attendance and a positive attitude Comfortable with light physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting, and bending Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness Preferred:
