FUNCTION OF THE JOB: The Human Resources Coordinator supports operating units by implementing human resources programs and is a resource for performance management, human resources services, employee relations, retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. The role involves completing personnel transactions, developing HR solutions by analyzing information, and recommending actions. Fosters teamwork, cross-functional communication, personal growth, and accountability. INTERACTION: Reports to Human Resource Manager Collaborates with Bealls Logistics, IS, Transportation, Loss Prevention, and Payroll Departments Interacts directly with Logistics Associates, Supervisors, and Managers SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions): Acts as an employee champion and change agent. Assesses and anticipates HR needs. Partners across HR functions to deliver value-added services aligned with organizational goals. Implements and administers Bealls policies and procedures. Provides advice and service to leadership on employee relations and performance management. Supports programs to enhance the associate experience. Assists with benefit administration (medical, dental, vision, 401k, open enrollment) and related procedures. Supports benefit issues resolution, including enrollment, FMLA, Short Term Disability, and third-party contacts. Acts as liaison between Payroll and Logistics Management regarding time and pay issues. Supports operations with employee forms such as wage changes, terminations, reviews, counseling, and I-9 documentation. Maintains and updates employee engagement and HR databases, partnering with Operations Management. Organizes and oversees engagement activities like picnics, team-building, celebrations, and health fairs. Maintains confidentiality in all associate-related matters. Escalates employee relations issues as appropriate. Performs additional duties as required to support business needs. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years HR or Operations experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole is preferred. Knowledge of HR management and employment laws. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate clearly in groups or individually. Experience with HRIS (Oracle, Kronos) and ATS (Taleo) systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing requirements. Self-motivated, able to multitask, proactive, and perform under pressure. Goal-oriented, customer-focused, with initiative and sound judgment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
