Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior Infrastructure Engineer to spearhead the development and deployment of advanced data and AI/ML solutions across AWS cloud, on-premises, and edge environments. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that our infrastructure supports robust, secure, and scalable software products for the Federal Government. Key areas of emphasis include data management, situational awareness, mission management, and AI/ML solutions. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure solutions to support advanced AI, data analytics, and edge computing applications. Support the set-up, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure on AWS and on-premises environments. Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, and regulatory standards relevant to our industry and clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and security experts, to deliver integrated solutions. Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resources for cost-efficiency and performance. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts to ensure infrastructure resilience. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience working as a systems/cloud administrator or in a related field. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning cloud and on-premise resources (Terraform, CloudFormation). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). Proficiency in networking protocols, security practices, and enterprise architecture frameworks. Thorough understanding and application of DevOps principles and methodologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions). Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative and driving projects forward with enthusiasm and expertise. Desired: Experience with advanced AI and machine learning infrastructure requirements. Experience with commercial infrastructure solutions and best practices in enterprise environments. Experience with edge computing technologies and edge-related software deployments, including edge device management, data processing at the edge, and secure communication protocols. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
