We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market strategies and drive adoption of CZI's AI tools for biology, including a new platform we're building to drive development of and increase access to machine learning models for biological research. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the development and direction of a new product with the potential to have a large impact on biomedical research. You will conduct market research, develop compelling positioning and messaging, and plan marketing campaigns in order to reach and engage two target audiences: Model developers who are building cutting-edge machine learning models for biological applications Scientific researchers who are interested in applying ML models to accelerate their research and unlock new discoveries This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between innovation and practical usehelping technical developers and biological domain experts alike engage with, contribute to, and benefit from our software tools. What You'll Do

Define and execute targeted marketing strategies that appeal to both biology model developers and life science researchers looking to apply ML tools. This includes leading go-to-market planning and execution including launches, user acquisition campaigns, events, and content creation. Craft clear, compelling messaging tailored to each audience's needsemphasizing platform extensibility for developers and research-enablement for biologists. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and application science teams to align technical features with user goals, example workflows, and scientific use cases. Build partnerships and community programs that deepen engagement across academic, nonprofit, and industry circles. Conduct and apply user research to improve product positioning, identify market opportunities, and inform product development. Define and track adoption and engagement metrics, and translate insights from user feedback into suggested product improvements. What You'll Bring

4+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally with a background in scientific software, ML/AI platforms, or developer ecosystems. Experience marketing to highly technical audiences (e.g., ML engineers, computational biologists) and scientific end users (e.g., researchers, lab scientists). Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into narratives that resonate with distinct user personas. Familiarity with the machine learning model lifecycle, open-source communities, and scientific research workflows. Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. Enthusiasm for accelerating biomedical discovery through open science and technology. Compensation

The Redwood City, CA base pay range for this role is $190,000 - $261,800. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. Work Mode

As we grow, we're excited to strengthen in-person connections and cultivate a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role is a hybrid position requiring you to be onsite for at least 60% of the working month, approximately 3 days a week, with specific in-office days determined by the team's manager.
