This position is open to all qualified candidates . You will combine data collection, analysis, time management, planning and prioritization, communication, and collaboration knowledge, skills, and abilities to collect, analyze, and communicate wastewater flow data and information used to support various conveyance system improvement and combined sewer overflow projects and programs. You will have the opportunity to work individually and as part of a team with a wide range of people throughout the Wastewater Treatment division (WTD), with consultants and other governmental agencies. About the Role: What You Will Be Doing

This position will conduct and coordinate the collection, review and analysis, archiving, and reporting of portable flow meter data, as well as maintenance of monitoring equipment in support of King County WTD's Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Program, long-term Conveyance System Improvement (CSI) projects, regulatory reporting requirements, and construction and inspection activities within the WTD's Wastewater collection system. This position requires working independently at times, and at other times, working as a Flow Monitoring team member that supports various leads, project managers and operations staff. The position may involve making decisions with minimal guidance on flow meter installations, and flow data quality and maintenance issues that may not have established or clearly defined guidelines or procedures. About the Team

The Flow Monitoring and Analysis (FM&A) Work Group performs monitoring of WTDs conveyance system to provide reliable flow data and information for the management and upgrade of the system. The Data Analyst will work and collaborate with FM&A staff, project managers, planners, modeling staff, operations staff, and others to ensure useful reliable flow data and information meets the capital and operating needs of WTD. Some of the projects and efforts the FM&A work group supports include: Assess system capacity and Infiltration/Inflow issues, and determine system needs for long-term planning for the management and upgrade of the WTD conveyance system Perform Hydraulic Modeling and Calibration Quantify CSOs for NPDES reporting to the Washington Department of Ecology (DOE) Understand and evaluate flow conditions in support of a wide range of WTD programs and projects including Sewer Heat Recovery, Mouth of Duwamish (MOD), and Conveyance System Improvements. Determine the timing and sizing of future facilities and to foster the efficient use of funds Manage the system during peak and/or emergency storm or flow events including collaborating with local agencies (example monitor UIC wells and SPU/KC M&M agreements) Support construction and O&M activities within the system Commitment to Equity, Racial and Social Justice:

Collect, review, and analyze portable flow meter data. Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control review of flow data. Edit as appropriate and finalize flow data for submittal and reporting. Ensure data is appropriately managed in databases. Support the collection and analysis of pump station flow and rain gauge data Assist Flow Monitoring field crews with troubleshooting data quality, maintenance, and telemetry issues Assist in flow meter installations and site calibrations (field verifications) including on-site visits and working with field staff. Review existing flow monitoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines and develop recommendations for improvements and new processes. Interface with vendors and manufacturers regarding flow monitoring hardware and software issues. Prepare service and maintenance requests for flow monitoring field crews. Create Work Orders in a CMMS such as Mainsaver for the service/maintenance requests. Prepare flow monitoring KPIs for reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Interface with WTD project managers, planners, modelers, and operations staff to coordinate flow-monitoring efforts. Provide flow-monitoring technical expertise, and flow data and related information to WTD staff, and external clients as needed. Represent the Flow Monitoring work group on various internal and external planning groups and project teams. Qualifications You Bring

A good understanding of basic hydraulics especially as related to measurement of flow and working knowledge and understanding of the methods and processes of flow monitoring, including flow monitoring equipment installation and verification field procedures, analyzing data (using graphical and statistical tools) for calibration, trends, patterns, and outliers Proficiency using computers and applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and data collection, analysis and presentation (or reporting) software Demonstrated ability to follow standard processes for routine data processing and preparation of data for review and audits Self-motivated to maintain standards in their own work and the data standards of the flow monitoring group Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be a clear communicator with demonstrated ability to work with a variety of staff at different levels Very good attention to detail and an ability to organize and handle multiple tasks and meeting established deadlines Demonstrated skill and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals and group stakeholders Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated technical competence in all aspects of flow monitoring including site investigations, meter installation, field verification, data collection, detailed data analysis, and reporting; ability to inspect and approve installation of approved flow meters and to recognize installation deficiencies and omissions and develop a corrective action listing Working knowledge and experience in sewer inspection, testing, monitoring, and O&M of a water or wastewater collection system Working knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Mainsaver or Maximo Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems such as ArcGIS Thorough knowledge of current acceptable flow monitoring and reporting methods, practices, and requirements for long-range programs within WTD Training and certification in First Aid/CPR, Confined Space Entry, and Flagging/Work Zone Traffic Control Competencies You Bring

Remote and Onsite Work Details:

Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements (3-4 days or more per month for team collaboration and field work). On-site reporting location will be South Treatment Plant- 1200 Monster Rd SW, Renton, WA 98057 Work Schedule:

This full-time position works a 40-hour work week with a 5 days per week schedule Monday - Friday. This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible. Union Representation:
