Seeking a Maritime Planner to support our Navy customer in Jacksonville, FL. The Maritime Planner provides direct support to USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT in operational-level planning across the spectrum of current, future, long-range, and crisis response operations. The role requires experience in the Navy Planning Process (NPP), maritime warfare integration, and multi-domain operations, with particular emphasis on the incorporation of space and joint capabilities into maritime planning. Support long-range, future, current, and crisis planning activities in alignment with command objectives. Coordinate development, refinement, and approval of fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), plans, and execution directives. Provide planning support for warfare areas including air, surface, subsurface, amphibious, and expeditionary domains. Leverage and integrate space capabilities into maritime planning, including ISR, missile warning, environmental monitoring, satellite communications, and space-based positioning, navigation, and timing. Manage and assess space effects during operations to maximize mission outcomes. Apply the Navy Planning Process (NPP) to develop operational planning products, orders, and supporting documents. Incorporate warfare concepts into operational-level plans, ensuring integration across the maritime domain. Develop and refine operational design, including problem framing, center of gravity analysis, objectives, effects, tasks, decision points, risk assessment, and phase transition criteria. Integrate measures of effectiveness (MOEs) and measures of performance (MOPs) into command planning and assessment processes. Identify adversary conditions impacting commander's objectives and develop desired and undesired effects based on mission analysis. Coordinate planning recommendations with the Maritime Planning Group and relevant operational planning teams. Provide analysis and recommendations for joint, interagency, and multinational coordination in the USSOUTHCOM AOR. Facilitate collaboration and information-sharing with coalition and regional partner representatives. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years of military staff planning experience. Minimum 2 years of direct support to a Maritime Operations Center (MOC). Experience in tactical and operational utilization of fleet maritime forces. Strong written and oral communication skills for interagency, multinational, and senior staff coordination. Knowledge of foreign affairs, international environments, interagency coordination, and national security assistance/security cooperation programs. Proven ability to apply operational design, operational art, and the Navy Planning Process to maritime operations. Certifications/Courses: Joint Qualification Officer (JQO), Maritime Staff Operators Course (MSOC), Joint Professional Military Education (JPME I/II), Advanced Joint PME (AJPME), or Maritime Operational Planners Course (MOPC) (required).
