The LACCD is accepting applications for Adjunct Dental Hygiene Instructor positions at West Los Angeles College for the 2026 Academic School Year. When there is an opening the College will begin their review process with the applicants in the pool. If you have applied to previous pools in this discipline, you will need to apply to this pool to continue to be considered. The College seeks dynamic, motivated and diverse candidates to engage and educate students. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's

degree or higher and two years of clinical professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment. Current California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). A sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Verification of Experience

Preferably completed teaching methodology course. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID-19 VACCINATION

Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with policy. Newly hired employees must provide vaccination status prior to starting or by the start date. DUTIES

The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach a range of courses within the Dental Technology Dental Hygiene discipline, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning. The successful candidate will be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members who span a diverse range of languages, nationalities, ethnicities, socio-economic levels, ages, identities, abilities and educational experiences. COMPENSATION

The salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at

$86.85

per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of

$20.32

per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential. APPLICATION PROCESS
