Principal Visual Designer Commercial

role within Lillys Digital Office, part of the Commercial Design Team. You will be a senior craft leader responsible for the highest standard of visual design across the teams work, leading flagship experiences and guiding others in elevating design execution. Your work will span large-scale digital platforms, campaigns, interactive experiences, and visual storytelling for product launches. You will collaborate with design, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure design choices strengthen the Lilly digital experience, resonate with the audience, and deliver meaningful value to customers. Responsibilities

Define the visual identity, tone, and style for major commercial design initiatives, with emphasis on Lilly.com, brand websites, and consumer applications. Lead the visual execution of flagship digital experiences, balancing innovation with adherence to brand standards. Create and refine high-fidelity design deliverables and prototypes that inspire stakeholders and guide development. Partner with copywriters, strategists, and technologists to align visual solutions with audience insights, business goals, and campaign strategies. Provide direction and constructive critique to design peers, mentoring them in craft, detail, and execution. Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to elevate commercial creative output. Present visual concepts and rationale persuasively to internal teams and executive stakeholders. Ensure designs are both visually compelling and practical for execution within various product delivery channels. What Youll Bring

A portfolio showcasing exceptional design craft across a variety of mediums and platforms, including websites and consumer applications. Mastery of typography, layout, composition, and color theory, with the ability to push brand expression for digital product experiences. Experience designing within and contributing to design systems. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively across creative, strategic, and technical teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences. Basic Requirements

Bachelors degree in Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5-8+ years of professional design experience, with emphasis on visual design for large-scale digital platforms and campaigns. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States; Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status. Additional Preferences

Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries. Experience crafting for and working within enterprise content management systems (CMS) such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Drupal, or similar platforms. Actual compensation will depend on a candidates education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $63,750 - $180,400.
