What You Will Be Doing

Avum is seeking a skilled and experienced Appian Developer/Analyst to lead the implementation of an Appian-based Contract Writing System. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a Contract Writing Solution. Your expertise will be crucial in translating business requirements into efficient and user-friendly applications that streamline acquisition processes and enhance operational efficiency. Collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate and change the system architecture, implement functional requirements, and develop/integrate components for an Appian Acquisition Suite Utilizing your expertise in Appian development to build scalable and robust applications within the Appian framework. This includes designing data models, process models, user interfaces, integrations, and business rules Integrating with other systems and data sources as needed, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability to support end-to-end acquisition processes Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design solutions using the Appian low-code platform to address government acquisition management challenges effectively Customizing the Appian platform to meet government acquisition management needs, including configuring forms, reports, dashboards, and other UI components to optimize user experience and productivity Conducting gap/comparative analysis based on customer requirements Conducting thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure functionality, performance, security, and government regulations and standards compliance Collaborating with QA teams to resolve any issues and provide high-quality deliverables Configuring complex solution applications, external system connections, process models, business rules, user interfaces, and management reports Performing design and prototype reviews/demos with government stakeholders Creating comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials, to support deployment, maintenance, and user adoption of the Acquisition Suite Providing training and support to end-users and administrators on how to use and manage the application effectively, addressing any questions, issues, or enhancement requests promptly Staying updated on the latest Appian features, best practices, and industry trends related to government acquisition management Appian Associate Developer or higher certification. What You Will Need

US Citizenship with active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required. Ability to be onsite 100% in Chantilly, VA in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). A minimum of four (4) years of software development experience. A minimum of two (2) years of Appian development experience. Proficiency in Appian development concepts, including SAIL, process modeling, data modeling, and integrations. Experience with Appian forms, process models, interface design, rules & expressions, records, data types, and SQL queries. Experience deploying applications in the Appian platform. Experience with building Appian plug-ins leveraging APIs and Smart Services. Deep knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies (i.e., Agile Scrum and DevSecOps). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience designing and implementing modules and App connectivity methods, such as Web API and SOAP requests with WSDLs. Knowledge of online Security, both on the infrastructure and application sides, including LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, SAML, and Certificates. Proficient with Java/JEE, SQL, REST, APIs, and Web Services. Experience in working with external integrations (i.e., Web service, ESB, HTTPS, SFTP, etc.). Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. If You Have This, Its A Plus

Experience implementing DoD acquisition and contracting writing systems/solutions. Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Appian Government Acquisition Management (GAM) suite experience. Knowledge or experience working with the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS-NG), System for Award Management (SAM), or other acquisition-related interface partners. Strong understanding of government acquisition management processes and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS). Whats In It For You
