Production Scheduler/Planner
The Production Scheduler/Planner is responsible for maintaining and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role coordinates with various departments including procurement, production, engineering, and Project Management to meet customer demands, minimize downtime, and optimize resource utilization. Job Duties: Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, equipment availability, or staffing. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components and highlight any shortages. Work with Materials management to ensure project kits are available and complete at each stage of the process. Working closely with production supervisors and team-leads to communicate schedules and resolve conflicts. With support of operations, develop and maintain detailed production project plans, and measure and report performance to plan. Report out to Leadership on any variations to production plans, log all downtime, and work with production leadership on resolution of variations. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Inform Project management of any delays or concerns on their projects. Weekly summary report of completed, delayed, missed or rescheduled work orders, and reasons for deviations. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, planning, and overall production efficiency. Maintain all schedule adherence reports, develop new reports and metrics as identified and required by manager. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or related manufacturing roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Ability to communicate at all levels. Ability to use ERP/MRP systems to manage and update production plans. Understanding of production planning, capacity management, and inventory control principles required. Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required. Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required. Ability to stoop and bend required. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required. Alignment with company core values required. Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate Excel skills. Knowledge of capacity planning and demand forecasting.
