About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and relationship-driven Senior Account Manager to manage a dedicated client within the healthcare industry, specifically a multi-employer Health and Welfare Trust. This senior-level role serves as the single point of contact and accountability for all aspects of service, operations, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a consultative approach, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare marketplace and multi-employer benefits administration.
Location Location: Remote (Pacific Time Hours Required) with Regular Travel to Las Vegas, NV
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison and trusted advisor for the client, managing day-to-day communications, needs and overall relationship health
Develop and lead long-term client strategy in partnership with client key stakeholders and internal leadership
Prepare and present regular reports, strategy updates, and materials for Trustee Board meetings, including in-person presentations
Build, execute, and own a comprehensive multi-year Client Plan, outlining priorities, objectives, risks, and opportunities
Maintain detailed documentation of all client activities, deliverables, and requirements
Coordinate, communicate and collaborate with internal teams (operations, analytics, reporting, leadership, product, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery
Drive service improvements and issue resolution, acting with urgency and accountability
Support and interpret client reporting and analytics, providing insights to guide decision-making and improve outcomes
Develop and nurture relationships with key client decision makers, vendor partners, consultants and key stakeholders
Maintain proficiency in client data and operations, ensuring you can proactively identify opportunities and solve for client needs
Provide leadership for dedicated onsite operations and service team members
Meet or exceed client satisfaction, retention, and service performance targets
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
10+ years of experience in account management, consulting, or related client-facing roles within the healthcare industry
Prior experience working with multi-employer Health & Welfare Trusts is required
Proven track record of strategic account leadership with a high degree of client ownership
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; confident in presenting to executives and Board of Trustees
Strong analytical acumen and comfort with data, reporting, and interpretation
Demonstrated ability to drive and exceed client expectations and meet performance targets
Highly organized with excellent time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, reporting tools, and presentation platforms
Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Las Vegas and work within Pacific Time business hours
A proactive, relationship-first mindset with an ability to influence and lead cross-functional collaboration
Ability to prepare high quality presentation content
Strong presentation skills with both small and large audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a benefits consulting firm or third-party administrator
Experience managing and understanding union labor benefits and Taft-Hartley plan administration
Project management, process improvement, work plan development and TPA operational experience
Trustee management and CBA knowledge
