Data Strategist
As a Data Strategist, you transform raw audience signals into clear, compelling narratives that steer marketing and product decisions. Leveraging advanced quantitative analyses and human-centered qualitative research, you pinpoint behaviors, surface growth opportunities, and craft data-backed recommendations that boost engagement, retention, and revenue. You'll partner with cross-functional teams-marketing, product, media, and analytics engineering-to turn complex datasets into actionable roadmaps that keep our brand ahead of shifting consumer trends. What You Will Do:
Data Driven Analysis & Insight Generation: Translate conceptual questions into data-driven analyses that deliver meaningful quantitative insights and recommendations. Narrative Development & Actionable Recommendations: Build compelling storiesvia executive memos, reports, or presentationsthat culminate in clear, action-oriented guidance. Cross-Functional Solution Collaboration: Partners with sales, analytics, product, and client teams to shape, validate, and steer modeling efforts into cohesive, client-ready solutions. Consultative Mindset & Communication: Deliver data-driven guidance to clients, prospects, and internal teams with a client-success mindset, using clear, persuasive storytelling in every interaction. Strategic Alignment: Understand how individual work supports broader Acxiom and IPG objectives and market positioning. Product & Industry Mastery: Deepen expertise in Acxiom offerings, direct-marketing strategies, and overall industry dynamics. Continuous Learning & Thought Leadership: Maintains a growth mindset-continually learning and sharing insights on emerging consumer and marketing trends in the audience and data strategy space. Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Solutions Development: Lead discovery sessions with clients to clarify objectives, identify data gaps, and define audience-segmentation frameworks. Utilize audience and data analysis tools and products to support sales efforts, including product presentations, data & identity solution recommendations and proposal creation tailored to address client needs. Craft level appropriate narratives that pair quantitative insights with phased, ROI-backed recommendations. Strategic Alignment: Understand the broader Acxiom & IPG strategies and how individual contributions align with organizational goals. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within sales support management. Collaborate with product management on the development of new products and services. Continuous Education: Track emerging trends across channels, consumers, and competitors to contribute to thought leadership and playbooks to raise audience-data literacy across internal and client teams. What You Will Have:
5+ years working with consumer data with a focus on marketing application and usage. Knowledge of consumer data and identity landscape in the United States. Experience in solutions based sales support role, with a proven track record of success. Understanding of direct marketing principles, digital media applications, and industry trends. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work both solo and in team setting to achieve client and organizational goals. Detail-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions to complex challenges. Strong working knowledge Office365, AI tools, data visualization tools and ability to learn proprietary toolsets for developing audiences. Experience in marketing driven work such as audience design & segmentation, personalization, optimization and measurement. Ability to travel
