Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 10/20/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position Title: Ultrasound Technologist – Pediatrics Contract Details: Specialty: Pediatric Ultrasound Shift: 4x10s, Mon–Thurs, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM Flexibility: May be asked to cover additional days as needed On-Call: Not required Floating: Not required (all work at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital) Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks Block Scheduling: May be approved prior to assignment, not guaranteed Start Requirements: All RTO must be submitted at time of submission Requirements: Experience: Minimum 2 years in pediatric ultrasound; 2–3 years preferred First-time Travelers: Accepted Certifications: BLS and ARDMS or ARRT Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Previous Charge Experience: Required Licensure: SC state ultrasound license not required Skills Required: Pediatric hospital experience including NEC, TCD, neonatal heads Spines, liver doppler (all vessels), renal doppler, renal transplants Extremity venous doppler, intussusception, pyloric stenosis, appendix Preferred Skills: Pediatric hospital experience with liver transplants Facility Information: Facility Type: Teaching Hospital, Magnet, Level I Trauma Center Beds: 865 staffed beds Scrubs: Teal tops, black bottoms Charting: Epic Parking: $20 one-time payment (nights/weekends only) Other Notes: Radius Rule: 60 miles Caseload: Varies by tech Radiation Badge: Not required Hurricane Season Advisory: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November; peak in Aug/Sept).
