Principal Engineer - Network Switch SDK Architect
to join a cutting-edge networking technology startup company to lead the design and development of a Software Development Kit (SDK) that bridges hardware and software for high-performance networking systems. The ideal Principal Engineer - Network Switch SDK Architect will work onsite Monday through Friday in Saratoga, CA. Responsibilities
Lead SDK architecture and development for networking ASICs, including hardware abstraction and API models Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate chip-level designs into software-programmable models Drive integration with NOS platforms like SONiC and lead silicon bring-up efforts Establish best practices for modular SDK design, testing, and performance benchmarking Qualifications
10+ years of experience in embedded systems or networking software development Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Strong expertise in C/C++ and Python in Linux-based environments Deep understanding of L2/L3 protocols, ACLs, QoS, and TCAM Experience with SDK development for networking silicon and NOS platforms like SONiC Familiarity with simulation tools such as BMv2 or RTL-based models Bachelors in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred) Compensation/Benefits
