A top financial firm is looking for a
Senior Trading Systems Application Manager
to join their team in New York, NY. Compensation: $500-750K Qualifications
Required 15+ years of progressive experience in financial technology, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing trading systems Deep technical expertise in low-latency trading, market data systems, order management, and execution platforms Proven success leading large-scale, globally distributed application teams Strong command of systems programming (C++/Java), messaging/middleware, and performance tuning techniques In-depth understanding of exchange protocols (FIX, OUCH, ITCH, etc.) and market microstructure Experience working directly with traders, quants, and front office stakeholders Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence executive-level decision-making Exceptional communication and organizational skills Preferred Prior leadership role at a top-tier investment bank, hedge fund, or electronic trading firm Exposure to co-location environments and hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., FPGA, kernel bypass) Background in risk controls, compliance, and system monitoring frameworks for trading systems Seniority level
