Position Overview:
The Power BI Junior Developer will play a key role in supporting StepStones Portfolio Analytics and Reporting team by creating, analyzing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, data models, and ad-hoc analyses. This role supports firmwide analytics and reporting initiatives that provide valuable insights to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to continuously solve complex problems and expand their skill set.
Essential Job Functions:
Partner with senior team members to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for both internal and external users Optimize data models and reports based on established performance and usability guidelines Monitor the usage and performance of datasets and reports deployed to the firms premium Power BI capacity Support version control processes and adhere to analytics development best practices Assist with role-based access control (RBAC) in compliance with firmwide data governance policies Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and verify information required for data reporting and analytics projects Manage multiple priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment Develop subject matter expertise in StepStones business model, private markets industry, and emerging data analytics trends
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field preferred Prior experience working with data models and business intelligence platforms Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects or coursework that added measurable value
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in SQL and Power BI; experience with other data visualization tools is a plus Familiarity with Power Automate is a plus Understanding of data modeling, dashboard design, and BI best practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Effective time management and prioritization skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to change
Salary Range - 72,000 - 76,500
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
