Join us to make legends happen! Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts and documents event and monthly inventory audits. Prepares event starting inventories for bars and concessions operations. Ensures all concessions and bar inventory items are rotated and dated, flagging those items that must be used first (perishables). Documents and places orders to various vendors as needed. Writes purchase orders in a timely manner and submits to accounting as required. Ensures all concessions and bar orders are received and shelved in a fashion consistent with layout of the storage room and inventory sheets. Contact vendors for credit on spoiled, out-of-date, or damaged products. Provides a monthly concession and bar inventory of all items by the required date/time. Performs quarterly equipment inventory. Is responsible for working with the Steward Supervisor to maintain clean and organized equipment storage. Ensures all equipment required to fulfill event orders is transferred in advance between buildings and returned in a timely manner. Must have good working knowledge of and meet all company/health department sanitation standards. Ensures the completion and distribution of all PO's/invoices for all F&B outlets, i.e. kitchen, liquor, and concessions in a timely fashion (weekly). Ensures the completion and distribution of kitchen work schedules on a weekly basis. Responsible for transportation of equipment/food/product to/from all off-site events. Attends weekly departmental meetings. Responsible for organizing all function orders, mail, change sheets for Executive Chef and alerts Chef to last minute events, and/or special-order items. Ensures proper set-up and stocking at satellite coffee cart. Ensures proper break down of coffee cart. Ensures delivery of accurate amount of product for each location. Coordinates draft beer dispensing equipment repair and ensures beer lines are cleaned as recommended by vendor. This includes all necessary components of the draft system i.e. taps must be taken apart and cleaned at recommended intervals, spouts must be cleaned appropriately. Ensures all sanitation and health department standards are met in concession locations, including main storage areas as well as auxiliary storage in both buildings. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years' experience in food preparation at different levels is preferred. Knowledge of tools, supplies, and methods used in food preparation. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to understand and complete verbal and written instruction. Ability to work without close supervision. Ability to work with and supervise others. Must have the ability to do multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to understand, communicate oral instruction, and complete written documentation. Requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and must be friendly and courteous. Requires a willingness to work additional hours as needed, which could include odd hours, weekends, and holidays. The above can be met by a combination of education and training or experience. Location: On Site at the Anchorage Convention Centers Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include weekends and holidays. Work hours may range from very early morning to late night. On rare occasion, must be able to work additional hours, weekends, overnight or extended stays, as business demands, with prior notice. Work is primarily indoors. Work will involve a considerable amount of walking throughout a 100,000 square foot facility, lifting, and other high-exertion activities. Potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment will be encountered daily during the course of work. May require lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a crowded, high-activity, high-demand environment. Flexibility is required, as to the ability to meet all requests upon demand. Duties require the use of considerable initiative, creativity, judgment, problem-solving, and working under minimal direction. Requires attention to detail, logical reasoning, ability to formulate ideas and opinions, ability to handle multiple priorities, ability to anticipate needs of the company, ability to implement short- and long-term solutions to needs, ability to plan and implement projects, ability to resolve customer service issues. Requires working under deadlines or pressure, dealing with difficult people or situations involving complex issues, and establishing and maintaining cooperative and productive work relationships. Must have outgoing, positive attitude in dealing with clientele and employees. A great candidate needs to be willing and able to work highly non-standard schedule. This manager works largely outside standard business 8a-5p weekday hours: very early mornings, late evenings and almost all weekends including all weekends in the slower summer season due to Cruise business. Flexibility is required as the schedule is purely event-driven and may include last-minute rescheduling to accommodate pop-up bookings. This manager will be needed on certain Holidays to manage events such as Thanksgiving week conferences, New Year's Eve parties and Cruise business over Memorial Day, July 4th and/or Labor Day.
