PositionMerchandise Planner LocationDallas, TX Reports ToDirector of Planning Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Merchandise Planner to join our team. This roleis responsible for building, managing, and optimizing merchandise plans that drive sales,profitability, and inventory productivity across channels. The ideal candidate has 5 years ofplanning experience in apparel, strong financial acumen, and the ability to balance data-drivendecision-making with a keen understanding of premium menswear and the customer mindset. Responsibilities and DutiesMerchandise & Financial Planning Develop and manage top-down and bottom-up financial merchandise plans, includingsales, margin, receipts, and inventory. Partner with Merchandising, Design, and Sales to ensure line architecture andassortments align with financial goals. Create preseason plans and forecasts, adjusting based on business performance andmarket trends. Inventory Management Optimize inventory flow to achieve targeted stock levels, sell-through, and markdownefficiency. Monitor replenishment programs and in-season performance to recommend reorders,cancellations, or in-season investments. Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure timely deliveries and accurate demandplanning. Business Analysis & Reporting Provide weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting on performance vs. plan, highlightingrisks and opportunities. Analyze sales trends by channel, category, and style to inform future assortmentstrategies. Partner with Finance to support long-range planning and budget processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Merchandising to curate assortments that balance brand vision withfinancial productivity. Partner with Marketing and Retail Operations to align promotional strategies withinventory and sales objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. 5 years of merchandise planning experience, preferably in apparel. Strong financial and analytical skills with advanced Excel and planning systemproficiency. Proven ability to translate data into actionable strategies and communicate insightseffectively. Experience managing OTB (Open-to-Buy), assortment planning, and demandforecasting. Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment. Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
