Purpose Statement : The Commercialization Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing Operations and Quality Assurance for all approved New Product Development (NPD) and Product Maintenance (PMP) projects. This position is pivotal in striving for plant performance metrics through continuous improvement and Lean methodologies. Our facility in Niles, IL, has been a cornerstone of Rich's for over 30 years, specializing in Toppings, Creams, and Culinary Solutions (TCCS). Operating 24/7, this dynamic plant excels in innovation and consistency across our frozen non-dairy portfolio. Key Responsibilities : Act as a principal member of the plant's Steering Team, ensuring efficient and safe operations compliant with Rich Products guidelines and regulatory standards. Serve as the primary contact for Operations, Quality, Engineering, and R&D relating to NPD and PMP projects. Participate in weekly project team meetings, providing updates and insights from plant Operations, QA, Maintenance, and Engineering. Coordinate key operational tasks for Tier 1 projects, including pre-trial work, trial execution, and post-trial activities. Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives (Lean, Process Improvement Teams, etc.) to meet and exceed plant performance metrics. Prepare and communicate post-trial reports to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clear documentation of outcomes. Experience and Skills Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ management experience in food processing, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing. Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and efficient manufacturing operations. Experience with LEAN methodologies, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, and TPM initiatives. Superior communication skills, both oral and written, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
