Position Overview
NCDHHS ITD is seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer/Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of the Early Education Integration System. This role will focus on building secure, scalable, and user-focused Salesforce and integration solutions that align with the agencys digital transformation strategy.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership, and architectural vision to shape the Salesforce ecosystem, drive integration across platforms, and ensure compliance with data security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce-based solutions.
Define and implement complex API-based integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance standards.
Guide development teams on Salesforce platform best practices, customizations, and standard functionality.
Oversee CI/CD pipelines and release management using tools such as Copado.
Drive data migration strategies and ETL solutions for Salesforce environments.
Lead code reviews, design workshops, and release planning sessions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and technical leads to align business and IT strategies.
Document technical designs, solution diagrams, and data models.
Ensure solutions comply with accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and mobile compatibility standards.
Required Skills & Certifications
Salesforce Technical Architect / Application Architect certification.
Salesforce Integration Architect certification.
Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification.
Copado certification.
MuleSoft I & II certifications.
Technical Expertise
7+ years in Salesforce solution architecture and development (Apex, LWC, Aura, Flows, SOSL, SOQL).
Strong background in Salesforce administration, design patterns, and advanced architecture.
Proficiency in object-oriented languages: Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, Ruby.
Experience with Salesforce Shield, Lightning, and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
Expertise in ETL tools, data migration, and integration strategies.
5+ years in GitHub/Bitbucket version control.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
Experience in mobile solutions architecture and accessibility compliance.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional, multi-stakeholder teams.
