We are seeking a Production & Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our seafood warehouse operations. This individual will oversee receiving, storage, fabrication, processing, and distribution of all inventory. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with experience in food or seafood logistics who can build systems, drive efficiency, and inspire a high-performing team. This role requires a proactive "jump in and help" mentality, ensuring staff are trained and supported while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Morning Production & Order Fulfillment Review daily orders and establish delivery schedules. Coordinate with fish cutters to ensure accurate fabrication with proper tools and materials. Oversee weighing, portioning, and labeling of seafood products for accuracy and compliance. Supervise packing and staging of orders to ensure correct routing, temperature control, and delivery timelines. Warehouse & Inventory Management

Maintain organized, clean, and food-safe storage areas (fresh and frozen). Track incoming seafood shipments, verifying counts, quality, and handling procedures. Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts, reporting discrepancies to operations and sales. Implement and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Logistics & Driver Coordination

Oversee truck loading and routing to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery. Serve as point of contact for drivers, addressing product or delivery issues during routes. Communicate delays, shortages, or equipment issues to sales and operations teams in real time. Team Leadership & Compliance

Supervise and schedule a team of fish cutters, packers, and warehouse staff. Enforce seafood handling, sanitation, OSHA, and FDA food safety standards. Provide training, coaching, and accountability to build a strong team culture. Lead by example with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and daily operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of warehouse, inventory, or production management experience (seafood or perishables preferred). Previous experience as a Chef/Manager a plus. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a team-first attitude. Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, and food safety regulations. Familiarity with warehouse software systems and cold storage environments. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
