Logistics Operation Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Logistics Operations Manager supervises multiple distribution and warehouse operations and is responsible for managing all activities related to the efficient functioning for our Tier 1 Automotive Customers. This includes KPI management, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations, and safety within the Operations.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage staffing, development, and performance management programs for staff; managing, motivating, and developing the management team Indentify and managing KPIs Plan the entire logistics value stream-suppliers, production, and customers.Defining supply, stock, packaging and internal logistics strategy Develop skills of salary and hourly associates to support current processes and future improvements Support JIS, JIT and Bulk shipment methods for on-time delivery to the customer. Includes tracking, reporting, and developing measures for improvement to achieve targets. Develop and implement the supply chain strategy according to business needs. Lead demand and supply planning operations and improvement activities with proper prioritization. Continuously analyze and optimize the value chain-covering Sourcing, Packing, Storing, Distributing, and Shipping-to identify opportunities for improving availability, inventory management, and supply chain costs. Manage projects, coordinating activities, conducting performance reviews, and optimizing critical aspects of supply chain network design, systems, and processes. Engage with other plants, handling purchasing, sales, and logistics functions to support maintaining and developing the value chain strategy. Enhance overall operations performance by driving improvements and implementing safety, cost, and quality control measures. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

Bachelor of Science Business Administration- Supply chain Management and Logistics or equivalent 5+ years of experience in Logistics planning and supply chain management 5+ years of managing people Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills Ability to work through others to accomplish initiatives and goals Critical and analytical thinking skills Shows proficiency with computer tools and software to improve driver safety, efficiency, compliance, and equipment upkeep. Ability to drive safety and efficiency performance through technology advancement Strong organizational skills are necessary to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects.
