Reports To: CCC Director of Event Operations

Supervises: Theatrical Services Team Members and Stagehand Labor

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience. The base rate for this position ranges from $72,000 to $80,000 annually.

General Summary:

Assist with the management of all Legends Global Theatrical Services/Production personnel, processes and House Crew’s, including operational needs, safety programs and requirements, trainings and manage all production purchase orders. Activity Administer and audit payroll and labor services specific to Stagehand labor and activities for Denver Arts & Venues - including Red Rocks, the Denver Coliseum, and the Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with on-site and on-call oversight/management of events and labor and provide support of production and labor management at DPAC, Red Rocks and the Denver Coliseum.

Scheduling Theatrical Services staff and House Crew’s at all Denver Arts Venues facilities,

Oversee the scheduling/daily labor sign-in/out processes and activities for all intermittent Stagehand labor.

Review event documentation and advances, update calendars, manage and update TS logs and trackers and maintain the current events and activities on the website.

Assist the Technical Services team/Manager to generate, process, review/audit and submit labor calls, event billing estimates and timesheets in a timely manner and meet deadlines

Schedule and coordinate safety trainings, refresher training and certification courses.

Initiate safety and annual refresher training and meetings, coordinate venue safety walks and track / update JHA’s.

Manage and audit Stagehand payroll processes and assist in the development new policies and procedures where appropriate.

Assist the Theatrical Services team/Manger to ensure daily labor/payroll process deadlines are met and verify accurate and timely information reporting to all entities is happening (Denver Arts & Venues, IATSE, ASMG).

Create, implement and manage Legends Global Denver Stagehand safety programs, initiate, track and follow up on safety, incidents, trainings and meetings, coordinate venue safety walks and create/update JHA’s.

Analyze existing back-of-house / labor practices. Create/update SOP and schedule trainings, provide/present and track trainings for Theatrical Services team and all House crews.

Foster and maintain productive relationships through active leadership with the Theatrical Services teams, Denver Arts & Venues facility management and Union partners.

Learn, understand and apply the terms and articles contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the Denver Arts & Venues and Legends Global.

Communicate/coordinate work needs and occurrences with venue managers to propose creative solutions that align with the ASMG/Denver Arts and Venue managers needs and support the CBA.

Assist with Human Resource concerns and policies to include disciplinary, incident and injury investigations/reports.

Assist the Theatrical Services Manager monitor to document and grievances.

Manage the application of the terms of the CBA between Legends Global and IATSE and participate in CBA negotiations

Support the Theatrical Services Manager and be available both on-site and on call to address safety, contract, payroll, labor and HR issues in adherence with company policy and procedures.

Coordinate and manage the procurement process between Legends Global Finance, City/Arts & Venues management/finance, House Crews, Production Managers relating to maintaining permits, tracking/submitting purchase orders.

Update and maintain records related to inventory of equipment and purchased and other procurement needs,

Assist in maintaining inventory controls, determine and document storage locations.

Communicate and address Stagehand payroll and work condition issues in a timely manner.

Coordinate with Legends Global Denver Human Resources and maintain/update records regarding Theatrical Services/Stagehand employees as it relates to company policy, discipline and accident/incident investigation tracking and reporting.

Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained specific to all venue stakeholders.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Baccalaureate degree in area applicable to facility management, resource management, and/or the event/live entertainment industries, preferred

Three to Five years’ experience in event/facility management or supervision

Performance, production, back-of-house or stage management experience preferred

Familiarity with IATSE union labor environment / contract negotiations and application experience preferred

Two to three years staff supervisory experience, required

Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of trades.

Working knowledge and experience in and around the live entertainment industry: including, theatrical/concert production processes, commonly used equipment and best practices.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

Ability to work long hours under pressure dictated by event schedules and timetables.

Clearly demonstrated problem-solving ability, excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele

Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English

Ability to work from drawings, specifications and oral requests to achieve desired service/product

Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team

Perform in a shared leadership role and complete job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities

Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner

Excellent record of dependability and reliability

Customer Service experience

Professional presentation, appearance, and work standards required.

Computer Skills:

Intermediate computer skills including ability to create word documents

Strong proficiency at excel spreadsheets.

Position requires frequent walking, climbing stairs, standing on cement floors, turning, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling; may be subject to adverse working conditions; dust, grime, noise, fumes, wet floors etc., including weather; may require use of an electric cart; may require tools and equipment operation that could cause personal harm or injury, if improperly handled; requires valid driver’s license and mode of transportation; requires extensive travel to/from each venue; requires radio usage – 2 way hand held and company cell phone.
