Index Analytics seeks a Release Train Engineer (RTE) - Agile Coach to support Government contracts. For this position, we are looking for an (RTE) who is a servant leader and coach for an Agile Release Train (ART). The RTE's primary responsibilities include facilitating ART events and processes, assisting teams in delivering value, managing risks and impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of Lean-Agile principles and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Responsibilities Facilitating and executing ART events, serving as the orchestrator for PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt workshops, and ensuring these collaborative events are conducted smoothly and effectively. This includes leading and facilitating key ART events, conducting regular ART Syncs to promote transparency, alignment, and actionable information flow, and coordinating program execution to support the ART's objectives and maintain alignment with overall program goals. Act as a coach and mentor across the Agile Release Train, guiding ART participants in Lean-Agile principles and practices. This includes providing targeted mentorship to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other ART leaders to help them continually develop their skills and foster a collaborative environment. The RTE will promote effective communication among teams and stakeholders, ensuring that all members are working toward common objectives. Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments or risks that threaten the ART's progress, facilitate retrospectives to champion a culture of experimentation and innovation, and use relevant metrics to measure and report on ART progress, driving data-driven decisions. Provide and ensure clear communication between the ART and all internal and external stakeholders, work to align interdependent ARTs, resolve potential conflicts, and guide the ART toward delivering sustained value to the organization and its customers. Lead quarterly PI Planning

Coach the ART to complete activities (exploration & refinement) ahead of PI Planning. Prepare for the event itself (schedule, set expectations for the event, coach team members on the guardrails of the event). Each PI will consist of five 2-week time-boxed increments. Final2-weekincrementconcentratingonInnovationandPlanning(I&P)tasks Facilitate Inspect & Adapt workshops when needed. Teams demonstrateprototypesandsystemfunctionalityweekly, EachPIwillendwithafullyintegrated demo of the released product.

Work to improve the continuous flow of value through the ART by helping visualize workflow, address bottlenecks, and accelerate the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Supportreleasemanagementforall ADOswithin the Salesforceorg

Collaboration with Enterprise Salesforce Services (ESFS) group Ensure each application to be released without disruption or degradation to existing applications

Fostering collaboration between teams and stakeholders Optimizing the flow of value through the ART Share insights with the leadership group and stakeholders Manage expectations to protect the ART and teams

Work with leadership (e.g., program directors and project managers) taking on delegated tasks and assisting with various project management activities, as needed Qualifications

US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience. Three years of experience working as an RTE in large-scale development projects with a thorough understanding of Lean, Agile, and Scrum principles. Candidates should possess a practical track record of driving organizational agility and transformation guided by these methodologies. A commitment to servant leadership, focused on empowering teams, removing barriers to progress, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement. Ability to support team growth and success through mentorship and facilitation rather than directive management. Proven ability to expertly guide large groups through complex planning, decision-making, and problem-solving sessions. Skilled at ensuring meetings are well-structured, productive, and result in actionable outcomes. Superior verbal and written communication capabilities, enabling effective articulation of concepts and building robust relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, from technical staff to executive leadership. Capacity to analyze systemic challenges and lead teams toward sustainable, data-driven solutions. Adept at diagnosing root causes and navigating ambiguity with clarity and composure. A holistic approach to understanding the interconnectedness between the ART and the greater value stream, enabling strategic alignment and optimal value delivery across the organization. Demonstrated experience coaching individuals and teams to adopt and refine Lean-Agile practices, fostering skill development and high performance throughout the ART. Possession of a SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification is highly desirable, reflecting readiness to lead and guide ARTs at scale. Prior roles as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Program Manager are strongly preferred, providing a foundation of leadership, process expertise, and project orchestration in agile environments.

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations.
