POSITION SUMMARY

Communications Production (85%) Strategically develops event communications content and implements communications, regularly meeting or exceeding implementation deadlines. Regularly updates partners on progress. Serves as a "super-user" for Engaging Networks (EN) on behalf of the Advancement team. Manages and maintains all web-related services and communications such as online registrations, broadcast email, digital advertising, and the Advancement website. Develops strategy for, writes, and implements contents for alumni social media platforms. Serves as editor and publisher of the monthly alumni and friends email newsletter in Engaging Networks. Works with the Senior Director to gather, manage, maintain, and edit Class Notes and Obituaries for the website. Provides simple edits to in-person and virtual event video content. Ensures design elements meet University branding guidelines. Develops other communications as needed. Works closely and coordinates with on- and off-campus vendors ensuring the success of engagement communications. Data Production and Analysis (5%)

Works in close partnership with Strategy and Operations staff to ensure appropriate data maintenance and integrity. Works closely with the Senior Director to develop metrics and tracking reports on the effectiveness of digital communications. Additional Duties (10%)

Supports various engagement related projects throughout the year. Provides support for tent pole University events including Alumni Reuion Weekend, which requires working evenings and weekend days. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have a thorough understanding of Willamette and of the value of a private liberal arts education. A strong candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an exceptional ability to analyze data. Strong initiative, creativity, high energy-level, and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people are essential. A demonstrated excitement and interest in helping to build and implement a consistent messaging strategy across the units of Advancement. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Outstanding project management, work organization, and time management skills Personal initiative and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to set priorities and follow-through on projects with little supervision Ability to work effectively in a team environment- with a mix of senior administrators, faculty, alumni, and staff colleagues Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation required Effectively communicates with internal and external partners from diverse backgrounds and life experiences Able to maintain confidential information, navigate relationships with finesse, and work to the highest ethical standards as outlined by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Attendance and punctuality are expected. Sense of humor and a positive team-oriented attitude are highly valued. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for signature events and activities including Alumni Reunion. Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite/Google, with advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Google Documents (editing, formatting, citations, headers, footers, pagination, image embedding) and comfort with e-CRM, CMS, and other web-based tools that produce digital communications. Education

Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Experience

At least three or more years experience in communications and marketing. Demonstrated success in work organization, project, and time management. Comfort with communications management software, with preference for experience with Engaging Networks or similar e-CRMs. Salary: $52,478 annually

Typical Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Typical work is performed indoors in a normal office environment.
