Principal Responsibilities: Day-to-day customer interface, ensuring customer requirements are understood and communicated to the organization. Proactive communication with operations personnel, ensuring job requirements are clear and understood regarding barge drafts, tow size, customer expectations, etc. Learn the various river segments and geographical knowledge of marine areas serviced and related towing requirements. Participate in pricing negotiations with customers, service vendors, etc. Overall knowledge and understanding of both covered and open hopper freight values and pricing impact. Effective problem solving, creating safe operational solutions and customer value. Logistical planning of barge orders to match various customer loading schedules. Prepare daily traffic reports for customers and the organization. Communication and coordination with marine service vendors. Manage voyage activity and costs to match job bids and orders. Serve in on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Agriculture or related field preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills, be a proactive problem solver, and be comfortable in decision making process that directly affects the P&L. Must be analytical, detail oriented, flexible, organized, self-driven, creative thinker, etc. Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to travel to customers, fleets, vendors, elevators, vessels, etc.
