Commercial Construction Controller Austin, TX 78722
We’re seeking a
Controller
to join an Austin-based commercial general contracting and construction services company recognized as a Top Workplace and Best Place to Work.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Management
Oversee and manage company budgets, forecasting, and cost control
Cash flow management via expense control and invoice management
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, industry regulations, and company policies
Collaborate with Project Managers to determine budgets and deadlines, coordinate payment schedules, and monitor financial guidelines
Process payroll and expense reimbursements
Financial Reporting
Prepare timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to support executive decision-making
Maintain balance sheet to show company's assets, liabilities, and equity at any specific time
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
Oversee monthly Project Status Report process with Operations Manager and project team (PSR Roll Up and WIP)
Create budgets with leadership and manage to ensure fiscal health and responsibility
Ensure accurate and timely tax filings
Strategic Planning
Participate in ongoing strategic planning with Leadership Team
Perform due diligence and create financial projections with different growth scenarios
Prepare the annual financial budget; update quarterly forecasts
Partner with external advisors for financial planning and reporting
Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and controls
QUALIFICATIONS:
ViewPoint software experience
Commercial construction experience
Desire to be hands on the Operations Team
