Production Maintenance Technician (Packaging Equipments) Carrollton, TX 75006 - 100% Onsite 3-6 Months Contract-to-Hire Role (Full-Time)

Department: Production/Maintenance Reports To: Production Manager Employment Type: Full-time Schedule: Day shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM), overtime and weekend work as needed

Position Summary: The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing sophisticated packaging equipment in our FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. This role combines technical expertise with production support, ensuring optimal equipment performance while maintaining strict cGMP compliance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair
o Perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment including horizontal pouch machines (Bartelt), vertical baggers, stick pack machines, auger fillers, and vibratory pill counters o Conduct electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic troubleshooting and repairs o Execute equipment changeovers and setups between production runs o Maintain pumps, compressors, and facility systems o Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals Production Support o Operate packaging equipment during production as needed o Assist production team with equipment setup and optimization o Support quality control requirements during maintenance activities o Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Documentation & Compliance
o Complete work orders and maintenance records using computerized maintenance management system o Maintain cGMP compliance during all maintenance activities o Document equipment modifications and repairs per FDA requirements o Participate in equipment validation and qualification activities Continuous Improvement o Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and efficiency gains o Recommend preventive maintenance schedule adjustments o Support implementation of new equipment and technology

Required Qualifications Experience & Skills
o 2-5 years mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing environment o Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities o Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings o Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic systems o Computer proficiency for maintenance software and work order systems Technical Expertise o Experience with flexible packaging equipment strongly preferred (stick pack, Bartelt, horizontal form-fill-seal machines) o Basic fabrication skills including welding and machining highly desirable o Understanding of cGMP requirements in regulated manufacturing environments preferred o Ability to use standard maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment Personal Attributes o Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills o Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environment o Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required o Detail-oriented with focus on safety and quality standards o Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
o Manufacturing environment with packaging equipment and machinery o Adherence to cGMP dress code and safety protocols o Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift o Use of personal protective equipment as required o Exposure to moderate noise levels and cleaning chemicals

Schedule & Work Environment
Primary Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Flexibility Required: Extended shifts up to 12 hours during high-demand periods Weekend Work: Occasional Saturdays as business needs require Work Environment: Drug and tobacco-free workplace
