McKesson Medical-Surgical's Laboratory team is seeking a Field VP, Strategic Accounts for the South Central territory. The Field VP, Strategic Accounts partners with the McKesson Health Systems and Corporate Accounts teams to engage the C-suite and decision makers in non-acute settings. The role identifies and develops new lab business opportunities, penetrates and retains existing business, and meets and exceeds annual sales plans. This role drives the implementation of secured business across the McKesson Medical Surgical lab organization and represents the lab organization across McKesson's various business units, collaborating with internal specialists teams to promote team selling and new business growth. Responsibilities Develop business relationships with laboratory customers within the non-acute health system and corporate accounts segments, focused at the decision maker level to generate new business, and to penetrate and retain existing business in support of achieving sales goals. Develop and drive the McKesson value proposition for total lab solutions, including standardization of formulary, product and process, conversion to new technology, management of chronic disease, higher patient satisfaction, and improved quality outcomes. Develop relationships with key vendor partners and internal McKesson teams to leverage national and regional contracts to develop and secure new business.
Minimum Requirements
Education: 4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience; typically 7+ years of relevant experience; degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
7+ years of sales and sales-related experience; proven business development at the C-suite level. Knowledge and/or experience in Lab Solutions (preferred). Excellent verbal and presentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated success in influencing and collaborating in a matrix environment. Strong organizational skills; experience in product positioning/placement. Creative, out-of-the-box problem resolution and client satisfaction approaches. Manage and position financial outcomes to achieve revenue goals across the assigned book of business. Knowledge of GPOs and contracting processes (helpful).
Environment
Work from home office environment. Large percent of time performing computer-based work. Frequent travel up to 75%.
